Chest and Front of Shoulder Stretch
The chest and front of shoulder stretch is a bodyweight exercise that targets the chest (pectorals), with the deltoids assisting.

How to do the chest and front of shoulder stretch
- Stand tall with your feet shoulder-width apart.
- Extend your arms straight out in front of you at shoulder height.
- Cross your arms in front of your body, with your right arm on top of your left arm.
- Interlace your fingers and press your palms together.
- Gently squeeze your shoulder blades together and push your hands forward, feeling a stretch in your chest and front of your shoulders.
- Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds, then release.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Sets and reps
Hold each stretch for 20–40 seconds, breathing slowly, and repeat 2–3 times per side. Stretch to mild tension, never pain.
