How to do the knee touch crunch
- Lie flat on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the ground.
- Place your hands behind your head with your elbows pointing outwards.
- Engaging your abs, lift your shoulder blades off the ground and reach your right hand towards your left knee.
- Return to the starting position and repeat, this time reaching your left hand towards your right knee.
- Continue alternating sides for the desired number of repetitions.
Sets and reps
Start with 3 sets of 10–15 reps, resting 45–60 seconds. When every set feels easy, add reps, slow the lowering phase or move to a harder variation.
Muscles worked
The main muscle is the abs. The hip flexors work as secondary muscles. See all ab exercises or every bodyweight exercise.
