Assisted Seated Pectoralis Major Stretch with Stability Ball
The assisted seated pectoralis major stretch with stability ball is an assisted exercise that targets the chest (pectorals), with the shoulders and triceps assisting.
How to do the assisted seated pectoralis major stretch with stability ball
- Sit on a stability ball with your feet flat on the ground and your back straight.
- Hold a stability ball with both hands and extend your arms straight out in front of you.
- Slowly lower the stability ball towards your chest, feeling a stretch in your pectoral muscles.
- Hold the stretch for a few seconds, then slowly return to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Sets and reps
Hold each stretch for 20–40 seconds, breathing slowly, and repeat 2–3 times per side. Stretch to mild tension, never pain.
